Ganzhou Qiandong Rare Earth Group Co., Ltd (GQD) is located in No. 289, Qiandong road, Shuidong Town, Zhanggong District of Ganzhou City. The former Ganzhou Qiandong Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd was established at the beginning of 1988, and has reformed into be a more regulated incorporated company. As of now GQD is developing to be a group company that combines rare earth basic materials, functional materials, application products and rare earth processing equipment manufacturing.

With a registered capital of RMB 150 million and total assets of RMB 3 billion, there are more than 2000 staffs including 150 engineers and 120 administrative staffs. The group company owns 11 subsidiary companies and 1 proprietary company: they are Ganzhou Rare Earth New Metals Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Dongli Hi-tech Co., Ltd, Precision magnetic Ganzhou Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Southern Rare Earth Mining Co., Ltd, Mingda Functional Material Co., Ltd (Jiangxi Province), Changding Qiandong Rare earth Co., Ltd (Fujian Province), Ganzhou Recycle New Technology Co., Ltd, Ganxian Likai Rare Earth Resource Recycle Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Koin Structure Ceramics Co., Ltd, Ganzhou Lizhong Machinery Co., Ltd and Ganzhou KEM Tech Co., Ltd.

GQD had established a complete system of scientific research, test, production and an advanced production chain for rare earth separation, rare earth metals, magnetic materials, structural ceramics, luminescent materials, catalyst, resource recycling to rare earth process equipment manufacturing. There are more than 60 kinds of products including rare earth compounds, rare earth metals, alloys, magnetic materials, fluorescent powder, zirconium structural ceramics and rare earth catalysts. Since the establishment of the company, GQD has finished one "863 Plan" project, three "Spark Plan" project, three "Torch Plan" project, one "National Key New Product" project, one "Technology and Innovation Foundation" project and more than seventy other research projects for new products at national, provincial and municipal levels.

The company obtained the ISO9000 quality system certification in 1998, as well as the national high tech corporation certification and the provincial technical center certification in 2009. The test center of GQD received the national CNAS certification in 2005.
